Jungle Juice

Many years ago, a few more than I’d rather remember, we were travelling throughout the Kimberley and had made it to Honeymoon Bay up at Kalumburu to camp for a couple of days. Here we ran into some other travelers who had crossed our path already during our trip and they were relaxing with sundowners on our arrival.

The girls were very much enjoying their champers and offered me a tipple - OMG it was delicious. They had made up a concoction called ‘Jungle Juice’ which was added to a glass of champagne, or sparkling wine. They kindly gave me the recipe and I often make it – no need even for a special occasion.

It turns the drink into something with a ‘kick’, and tastes delightful as well. Probably a bit too nummy!! Needless to say, all those that imbibe will be feeling very relaxed.

Don’t be deceived by the small amount of gin that goes into the mix – it gives the drink quite an extra ‘potency’.

Jungle Juice

Ingredients
150ml Gin
1 cup passionfruit pulp (tin passionfruit works equally as well as fresh – and a lot easier to buy and use)
2 cups cranberry juice
1 1/2 cups sugar

Directions
Mix altogether, bottle and use for champagne cocktail.
Pour a small amount into a glass and top with champagne or sparkling wine. (More or less of the juice, depending on your taste.)
Delicious!!
