Mountain Cattlemen Get Together - January
The MCAV Get Together is held at a different location each year. The Get Together is a 3 day family event that celebrates the history and culture of the Mountain Cattlemen..Events of interest include the womens and mens tug of war, whip cracking, dog high jump, special events for children as well as our traditional horse events including the prestigious Mountain Cattlemen’s Cup Challenge. Night entertainment includes a variety of live bands so there will be something for everyone.
Camping is included in your ticket price. Toilets, hot showers and water is provided (bring your own container!). Dogs are allowed, provided they are on a lead and always cared for. There are 4 camping areas: family camping, general camping, RV Camping and horse camping areas:

The Murray River Giant Pumpkin Competition is more each year with popularity and attendance and with a trip to the United States as first prize for the heaviest pumpkin donated by MGA Insurance Brokers, many backyard growers are trying their luck!
The Giant Pumpkin competition is part of the annual Cadell Harvest Festival on Easter Saturday where you can try your luck at Murray River Carp throwing, cockroach racing, orange and grape throwing and biggest Easter Egg Hunt you will ever seen with a giant nest of hay like no other. Great prizes and family fun for the whole family from 2pm at the Cadell Oval at Cadell which is only 2 hours from Adelaide and cross the ferry from Morgan.
Food and craft stalls, wine tasting and live entertainment all things pumpkin. Try the locals’ pumpkin scones, cake and amaze at the largest pumpkin marquee in Australia not to mention the sea of pumpkins on show and the many big veg on display.

The annual Pedigree Australian Working Dog Muster is held on Queen's Birthday long weekend in June, in Casterton, Victoria in the western Victorian town of Casterton. Visitors can expect a fun-filled event for the whole family. The Festival and Auction is a great weekend with loads of entertainment. We have variety of events which will start with the RMA Working Dog Futurity, followed by The Poets Breakfast which is absolutely enthralling. The Kelpie Triathlon attracts a number of entries, and the High Jump record is still waiting to be broken, and watch the speed of the Kelpies in the Kelpie Dash. Stockman's Challenge is a high calibre event watching the contestants compete with the working dog's and horses over the obstacle course.

Ned Kelly Walking Tour Beechworth - October
Take a journey through the Beechworth Historic Precinct during the time of Bushranger, Ned Kelly on the Ned Kelly Walking Tour. Participants will see many of the buildings associated with the Kelly legend and hear stories behind the events which eventually brought the Kelly era to an end. This tour also visits Harry Powers’ Cell where the ‘Gentleman Bushranger’ and mentor to a young Ned Kelly spent time on remand.

Bendigo Leisurefest - November
For three days in November, Bendigo is jam-packed with over 200 new caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, off-road vehicles, campervans, pop tops, tent trailers, fifth wheelers, slide-ons, 4 x 4s and much more at the RV and Camping Leisurefest.
You will find the very latest industry products from more manufacturers and exhibitors than ever before and you will get the chance to preview the latest new-season releases. Whatever you need for touring, Leisurefest has it all!
Highlights include a great range of motorhomes plus displays from Australia's leading RV brands. There is also a huge range of parts and accessories for caravanning, camping, 4-wheel driving and off-road touring.

Myrtleford has held the Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo on Boxing Day for the over 60 years. It is is the second longest running Victorian rodeo and the first of the summer circuit. Cowboys and Cowgirls from across the country compete for Australian Professional Rodeo Association championship points and the coveted Golden Spurs.
