Mountain Cattlemen Get Together - January
This is a really enjoyable weekend for the whole family set at the base of some of the best mountain country in Australia. There will be a packed agenda to keep everyone amused over the three days with lots of horse displays, whip cracking and other cattlemen demonstrations, packhorse races, the fabulous Mountain cattlemen horse race, along with lots of musical entertainment, a great bar along with a wide variety of food. In 2016 the Get Together was held at Merrijig, just east of Mansfield between the 8-10 January. There's lots of camping available on site as well. Held in the Amphitheatre, Mayday Hills. A full rodeo event affiliated with the Australian Professional Rodeo Association. Myrtleford Bush Market - Jan
This annual market has been a fixture on Myrtleford’s calendar for over 30 years. The Bush Market takes over the CBD for the day, featuring a huge selection of stalls selling clothing, craft, food, wine and local produce as well as live entertainment and activities for the whole family. Seymour Military Heritage Weekend - March
The Seymour Military Heritage Weekend celebrates Australia’s rich military history in Mitchell Shire, Victoria, which still maintains a strong connection to the Australian Defence Force Base at Puckapunyal. Merrijig Rodeo - March

Murray River Giant Pumpkin Competition - Cadell Harvest Festival - Easter Saturday
The Murray River Giant Pumpkin Competition is more each year with popularity and attendance and with a trip to the United States as first prize for the heaviest pumpkin donated by MGA Insurance Brokers, many backyard growers are trying their luck!
The Giant Pumpkin competition is part of the annual Cadell Harvest Festival on Easter Saturday where you can try your luck at Murray River Carp throwing, cockroach racing, orange and grape throwing and biggest Easter Egg Hunt you will ever seen with a giant nest of hay like no other. Great prizes and family fun for the whole family from 2pm at the Cadell Oval at Cadell which is only 2 hours from Adelaide and cross the ferry from Morgan.
Food and craft stalls, wine tasting and live entertainment all things pumpkin. Try the locals’ pumpkin scones, cake and amaze at the largest pumpkin marquee in Australia not to mention the sea of pumpkins on show and the many big veg on display.

The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival - March/April
The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival is held annually in Corryong in late March, early April, Victoria in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains halfway between Melbourne and Sydney.
The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival recreates the fun and excitement of a bush gathering where both new and old friends come together to have a yarn and a beer, to enjoy traditional bush tucker and, of course, kick up their heels.

Working Dog Muster - Queen's Birthday long weekend on June
The annual Pedigree Australian Working Dog Muster is held on Queen's Birthday long weekend in June, in Casterton, Victoria in the western Victorian town of Casterton. Visitors can expect a fun-filled event for the whole family. The Festival and Auction is a great weekend with loads of entertainment. We have variety of events which will start with the RMA Working Dog Futurity, followed by The Poets Breakfast which is absolutely enthralling. The Kelpie Triathlon attracts a number of entries, and the High Jump record is still waiting to be broken, and watch the speed of the Kelpies in the Kelpie Dash. Stockman's Challenge is a high calibre event watching the contestants compete with the working dog's and horses over the obstacle course.

Steam Rally Echuca - Queen's Birthday weekend June
This major community event, organised annually by Echuca Moama Rotary, is a fantastic weekend which showcases more than 700 exhibits of working yesteryear and entertains every member of the family with many other different things to see and experience. This family or enthusiast event is a weekend of entertainment to cover all ages and interests and is held annually on the Queen's Birthday Weekend. Whilst preserving the historical nature of the event by showcasing steam engines, there are also vintage cars and working horses.

Towards the end of October the Maffra Show is held at the Maffra Recretional Reserve, Maffra. The Maffra Show Committee strives to provide a truly Agricultural Show, also providing entertainment for the whole family throughout the day on SHOW DAY. Activities include Chainsaw Carving, Steam Engine Display, Animal Nursery, Pet Parade, Food & Wine Court, roving entertainment and then during the night carnival, Woodchop Competition, “The Maffra Mile”, Shetland Derby and a Major Drawcard (yet to be determined for this year), culminating with a Spectacular Fireworks Display.

Mansfield High Country Festival - late October/Nov
The High Country Festival comprises a diverse variety of events ranging from art exhibitions, to unique and quirky community events. Run over the course of five days usually towards the end October/early November the festival features heritage initiatives, art exhibitions, performance, music, bush markets, a grand parade, fireworks, a Melbourne Cup picnic race meeting, some fabulous food and wine events, and lots more. Bendigo Leisurefest - November
For three days in November, Bendigo is jam-packed with over 200 new caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, off-road vehicles, campervans, pop tops, tent trailers, fifth wheelers, slide-ons, 4 x 4s and much more at the RV and Camping Leisurefest.
You will find the very latest industry products from more manufacturers and exhibitors than ever before and you will get the chance to preview the latest new-season releases. Whatever you need for touring, Leisurefest has it all!
Highlights include a great range of motorhomes plus displays from Australia's leading RV brands. There is also a huge range of parts and accessories for caravanning, camping, 4-wheel driving and off-road touring.
Leisurefest is held annually at Bendigo Racecourse. It's a great day out for the whole family with free kids' activities over the weekend and plenty of food and beverages available.

Beechworth Celtic Festival – Nov
The Celtic Festival is a diverse event with something to offer every age group. - entertainment, markets and celebration in the Celtic spirit. Major events include the Gala Celtic Dinner on Friday evening, the Grand Parade is run on Saturday with colourful floats, dancers and national celtic custumes, while there’s a great-fun Ceilidh on Saturday afternoon, and the Community Concert on Saturday evening. Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo - Boxing Day Dec
Myrtleford has held the Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo on Boxing Day for the over 60 years. It is is the second longest running Victorian rodeo and the first of the summer circuit. Cowboys and Cowgirls from across the country compete for Australian Professional Rodeo Association championship points and the coveted Golden Spurs.
